Create/Manage My Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) Account

  1. From the My Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) Account page, log-in with your ASURITE ID and password.
  2. Enter the required information:
    1. Email address
    2. Campus affiliation
    3. Status
    4. College/Department
    5. Select a pickup location (Items will be held at the Check Out/Information Desk)
  3. Click Submit when finished.

Log into  My Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) Account, under "Tools"

  • Select “Change User Information” to edit
    • Email address
    • Campus affiliation
    • Status
    • College/Department
    • Pickup location

The Mail to Home Address delivery option is available to affiliates of:

  •     Lake Havasu campus
  •     Online and Extended Campus
  •     Students taking their classes entirely online who live outside the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Eligible items will be shipped to your home address. See Online/Distance Education & Lake Havasu – Book Requests for additional information.


To add the Mail to Home Address option to your ILLiad account:

  •  From the ILLiad logon page: My Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) Account
    • Current users: Log-in and go to Tools > Change User Information
  • For Mail to Home Address options:
    • Select Online-Extended or Lake Havasu for Campus Affiliation
    • Select Mail to Home Address for Pickup Location
    • Add your physical home mailing address
  • Click Submit when finished.

  1. Log into your My Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) Account, under “New Request” click on the type of material you want.
    • Article request forms:
      • Article
      • Book Chapter
      • Conference Paper
    • Loan request forms:
      • Book
      • Video
      • Dissertation/Thesis
      • Government Document
  2. Enter as much information as possible.
    • Use the Notes Field for additional information.
  3. Click "Submit Request."
  4. Do not submit multiple items on one request form.
    • Request forms with multiple items will be cancelled.
    • Duplicate requests will be cancelled.

Tips for getting faster service

  1. Search the Library One Search for local holdings by:
  2. Provide ISSN/ISBN number or OCLC number
    • If multiple ISSN/ISBN numbers are available, use only one in the ISSN/ISBN form field and place the others in the notes field.
    • If provided, the processing of your request may be automated  and not require staff intervention.
  3. Verify that your citation information is accurate.
    • Do not abbreviate the title of the publication.
    • Place the citation information in the correct fields on the form.
    • Check your spelling and your citation!
  4. Choose the proper request form when submitting your request.
    • Using the proper form will help us find the correct item.
    • Submit each article or book chapter individually on its own request form.
    • Use the Notes field in the request form to provide additional information that may be of use.
  5. When searching for books in the Worldcat Database, do not use the ILL button at the top of the Worldcat screen.
    • Use the icon to request the item through Interlibrary Loan.

How do I cancel a request?

  • All requests still in process will appear on the main ILLiad page.
  1. Click the appropriate transaction number (TN#).
  2. Click on "Cancel Request" in the top right corner of the page.

How do I edit a request already submitted?

  • Contact ILL staff at (480) 965-3282 or ILL@asu.edu.
    • Provide the TN# and the information to be changed in the email.

Why did my article disappear from the list?

There are 2 possibilities:

  • You clicked on the Remove checked document button for that article.
    • If you accidentally delete a document, there is an "Undelete" link next to each transaction in the request history in your ILLiad profile.
    • Contact ILL staff at (480) 965-3282 or ILL@asu.edu for assistance
  • The document was online for more than 60 days and expired.
