Digital South Asia Library contains reference works, images, maps, statistics, and other materials on South Asia. This is a part of Center for Research Libraries (CRL) and the University of Chicago.

Sarai (South Asia Resource Access on the Internet) from Columbia University Libraries 

World Factbook. Yes it's the CIA but it is a source of a lot of statistical and factual data.
