ROARMAP (Registry of Open Access Repositories Mandatory Archiving Policies)
Searchable international registry charting the growth of open-access mandates adopted by universities, research institutions and research funders that require their researchers to provide open access to their peer-reviewed research article output by depositing it in an open access repository. 

SPARC (Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) 
An international alliance of academic and research libraries working to create a more open system of scholarly communication. SPARC’s activities are centered on: (1) Open Access to Scholarly and Scientific Research Articles, (2) Open Data, and (3) Open Educational Resources (OER).

Global Annual Events

Open Access Week (October) 
An opportunity for the academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of Open Access, to share what they’ve learned with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research.

Open Education Week (March) 
Coordinated by the OpenCourseWare Consortium, an association of hundreds of institutions and organizations around the world committed to the ideals of open education.  Its goal is to raise awareness about free and open educational opportunities. 

The ASU Library acknowledges the twenty-three Native Nations that have inhabited this land for centuries. Arizona State University's four campuses are located in the Salt River Valley on ancestral territories of Indigenous peoples, including the Akimel O’odham (Pima) and Pee Posh (Maricopa) Indian Communities, whose care and keeping of these lands allows us to be here today. ASU Library acknowledges the sovereignty of these nations and seeks to foster an environment of success and possibility for Native American students and patrons. We are advocates for the incorporation of Indigenous knowledge systems and research methodologies within contemporary library practice. ASU Library welcomes members of the Akimel O’odham and Pee Posh, and all Native nations to the Library.
