SIPX is a third-party provider of digital reading materials brought to you by ASU Library. It is integrated with Blackboard. SIPX identifies open-source materials and resources already purchased by ASU Library, and delivers materials to students within Blackboard via PDF files and Web links.
Within SIPX, it is possible to assign readings from library subscriptions and open access materials. SIPX Analytics provide insight about student engagement with reading assignments. Materials that are not purchased by ASU Library are also available, and you can select purchasing options that support copyright compliance.
TIP: If a list of reading material for the course does not already exist, it is helpful to identify course materials from ASU Libraries prior to using the SIPX tool. ASU Libraries provides the advanced search resources to find reading materials, and SIPX delivers the materials to students in Blackboard. Once you create a SIPX reading list for your course in Blackboard, you can reuse it in subsequent sessions so the initial input work does not have to be repeated.
