Search the ASU Catalog for Rare Book and Manuscript Items

  1. Begin on the ASU Library home page,
  2. Select Advanced Search
  3. Change "Any Field" to "Call Number" in the pull-down menu, then change "contains" to "is (exact)" in the pull-down menu to the right.
  4. In the search box, type SPEC (for special collections). Then click on the "Search" button.
  5. To search by subject, author, title, or keyword, enter the information into the second line of the "Search" box.


The ASU Library acknowledges the twenty-two Native Nations that have inhabited this land for centuries. Arizona State University's four campuses are located in the Salt River Valley on ancestral territories of Indigenous peoples, including the Akimel O’odham (Pima) and Pee Posh (Maricopa) Indian Communities, whose care and keeping of these lands allows us to be here today.
