Citation management tools are applications used to save and organize your references in a personal database. Using your database of references, you can create citations or lists of references (bibliographies) according to different citation styles, and much more: you can share your research and collaborate with others.
This guide is designed to bring tools, information, sources and tutorials on citation research together in one place. The field of bibliometrics is increasingly being used to evaluate the impact of a scholar's work (citation counts and altmetrics) or to determine the importance of a journal within a particular field (impact factor). We'll show you how to find bibliometric data and how to use it appropriately.
This Library Guide is intended to support the research needs of students and faculty who need information about: when to cite a source;
what citation style to use; how to create citations; establishing a RefWorks account.
RefWorks is a Web-based bibliography database manager that allows you to collect, organize and manage a personal database of book and article citations. Use your RefWorks database to create bibliographies and/or format papers with in-text citations and a bibiliography in the style of your choice.
