Graduate Students Guide

An introduction to research resources and library services for ASU graduate students

Welcome!

Welcome to the Graduate Students Guide. This guide is organized by the different roles that graduate students have here at ASU. We have organized links and resources for many different library resources and tools into the following categories:

As a student, you can use library resources to find books and articles and do research for your classes and culminating projects.

As an instructor/teaching assistant (TA), you can use library resources to provide instruction materials to your students and support your courses.

As a researcher/research assistant (RA), you can use library resources to manage your data, locate a publishing venue, and find citation metrics for your published work.

For additional information and links, you can check out the Graduate Students tab on the library's main page.

The ASU Library acknowledges the twenty-three Native Nations that have inhabited this land for centuries. Arizona State University's four campuses are located in the Salt River Valley on ancestral territories of Indigenous peoples, including the Akimel O’odham (Pima) and Pee Posh (Maricopa) Indian Communities, whose care and keeping of these lands allows us to be here today. ASU Library acknowledges the sovereignty of these nations and seeks to foster an environment of success and possibility for Native American students and patrons. We are advocates for the incorporation of Indigenous knowledge systems and research methodologies within contemporary library practice. ASU Library welcomes members of the Akimel O’odham and Pee Posh, and all Native nations to the Library.
