Welcome to this guide to the works and impact of Harry Edwards, Ph.D., a sociologist and pioneer in racial equity. Dr. Edwards' work has centered around African-American athletes. He is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Edwards has recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and in a December 2024 article in the Washington Post entitled "No Final Victories", he reflects upon his life's work, and the past and future of sports activism.
