This guide provides instructions on how to download or check-out e-books for use offline or on a mobile device.

Instructions

EBSCOhost - Before You Begin:

  • In order to download EBSCOhost e-books to your personal device you must first create a personal EBSCOhost account associated with the ASU Library. To do so, connect to the ASU Library/EBSCOhost interface page (in order to prove that you are a current ASU student, faculty or staff member you will be required to authenticate with your ASURITE ID log-on and password).
  • From the "ASU Library/EBSCOhost page choose the "Sign In" link from the upper-right of the page - and sign in to your EBSCOhost account. First time users will need to use the "Create a new account" option.
  • You also need to create a personal Adobe Digital Editions account, and download that software onto your computer (for a Nook/Sony/other e-reader).

The ASU Library acknowledges the twenty-three Native Nations that have inhabited this land for centuries. Arizona State University's four campuses are located in the Salt River Valley on ancestral territories of Indigenous peoples, including the Akimel O’odham (Pima) and Pee Posh (Maricopa) Indian Communities, whose care and keeping of these lands allows us to be here today. ASU Library acknowledges the sovereignty of these nations and seeks to foster an environment of success and possibility for Native American students and patrons. We are advocates for the incorporation of Indigenous knowledge systems and research methodologies within contemporary library practice. ASU Library welcomes members of the Akimel O’odham and Pee Posh, and all Native nations to the Library.
