Primary Resources
- Campaign ZeroCampaign Zero supports the analysis of policing practices across the country, research to identify effective solutions to end police violence, technical assistance to organizers leading police accountability campaigns and the development of model legislation and advocacy to end police violence nationwide.
- Documenting FergusonA freely available resource that seeks to preserve and make accessible the digital media captured and created by community members following the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, on August 9, 2014.
- Enslaved: Peoples of the Historic Slave Tradea free, public clearinghouse with searchable databases. The open-source architecture allows the discovery of nearly a half million people records and 5 million data points. The database was built from archival fragments and spreadsheet entries to see the lives of the enslaved in richer detail.
- Harry Edwards, Ph.D.A sociologist and pioneer in racial equity, Dr. Edwards work has centered around African-American athletes. He is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley.
- Herstory of #BlackLivesMatter Movement - Alicia GarzaIn 2013, Alicia co-founded #BlackLivesMatter, an online platform developed after the murder of Trayvon Martin, designed to connect people interested in learning more about and fighting back against anti-Black racism.
