Welcome ASU students! The librarians and library professionals at the ASU Library are so happy to have you here with us as you take on your academic journeys. The library has many services and resources to offer across multiple disciplines, subjects, etc. Browse through the tops things to know below.

Undergraduate Students

Excited about research and all that you can do here at ASU? We are too, here are a few services and resources to support you during your time as an undergraduate student

  • To get started with the ASU Library, visit our Introduction to the ASU Library tutorial. You'll learn all about academic research, spaces, resources, and services. 
  • You may need support for your research assignments or projects, we've got you covered! Visit our library guides here. They are information documents for classes, subjects, and just plain fun! (yes the library is fun) 
  • As a college student, you'll have time to explore alongside your studies. Visit our libraries and library-based centers to explore more about ASU, Arizona, and our services such as: 

Graduate Students

University at the graduate level can be quite different than undergrad, but we have all of the resources and services for you to succeed. Visit the links below to get started on your new journey!

  • Take our tutorial to learn What Grad Students Need to Know about the Library.
  • Researcher Support offers guidance across the research lifecycle, everything from planning to data storage.
  • If you are a teaching assistant (TA) and need support, use our Course Resource Services to connect students with their course materials, and request library instruction tailored to your assignments and goals.
  • Explore KEEP, a digital preservation of scholarship by ASU faculty, staff, and students. Items submitted are: articles, collaborative research projects, musical performances, and theses and dissertations.

Online Students

The ASU Library has developed resources and services with online students in mind. Here are few to get you started on your research journey with us: 

  • Visit our ASU Online Student Guide to find walk-throughs, tutorials and useful resources to learn how to use the ASU Library and tops on researching.  
  • Activate your free digital subscriptions to the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
  • Do you live outside of Maricopa County? No worries, use our home delivery services to borrow and return materials.

The ASU Library acknowledges the twenty-three Native Nations that have inhabited this land for centuries. Arizona State University's four campuses are located in the Salt River Valley on ancestral territories of Indigenous peoples, including the Akimel O’odham (Pima) and Pee Posh (Maricopa) Indian Communities, whose care and keeping of these lands allows us to be here today. ASU Library acknowledges the sovereignty of these nations and seeks to foster an environment of success and possibility for Native American students and patrons. We are advocates for the incorporation of Indigenous knowledge systems and research methodologies within contemporary library practice. ASU Library welcomes members of the Akimel O’odham and Pee Posh, and all Native nations to the Library.
