Love Data Week is an international event involving libraries, data centers, social media, and research institutions. The week is designed to highlight key resources available to ASU researchers. It is also a time to focus on best practices for managing, protecting, preserving, and publishing your data. The Research Data Management teams at Knowledge Enterprise and the Library will share resource information, tips for data management, and activities designed to help you ensure your data feels loved!

Beginner stuff, please! Learning tools and resources:
- An Overview of the All of Us Researcher Workbench and the Role of the LibraryTuesday, February 13, 2024, 3:00–4:00 p.m. Eastern Time: A librarian-focused webinar on NIH’s All of Us research program during Love Data Week. The webinar will offer 1 Continuing Education Credit from the Medical Library Association and is approved for the Data Services Specialization.
- Beginner’s Guide to Research ComputingFebruary 14, 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM: This workshop teaches beginners how to utilize the ASU Research Computing supercomputer and ]will cover the supercomputer's configuration, batch and interactive access, and available software packages.
- Python: Machine LearningFebruary 14, 10:15 AM – 11:15 AM This workshop introduces the capabilities of Python when applying modern algorithmic techniques for understanding a vast dataset. Participants will learn how to use the pandas and TensorFlow modules to filter data to train a machine-learning model within Jupyter.
- Research Support Conversation: Top Tips for Loving Your Research DataJoin us on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, from noon to 1 p.m. ASU Library’s Research Support team and Knowledge Enterprise Research Data Management Office will hold our monthly Community Conversations around the theme of "My Kind of Data." In an online conversation, we’ll be engaging researchers to share tips and best practices to maintain a good relationship with your kind of data.

Exploring Unsupervised Machine Learning techniques Online
In this Open Lab, we will begin with an intuitive exploration of unsupervised machine learning. Following that, we will review clustering and dimensionality reduction and techniques for these tasks, including k-means clustering and principal component analysis (PCA). - ASU Library – Data Science and AnalyticsThe Unit for Data Science and Analytics is a hub for research collaborations and student mentorship. It is a one-of-a-kind resource at ASU Library. Opportunities to get involved and learn about data science are through a free online Canvas course, a Podcast, and/or attending our open virtual labs.
