Ask a Librarian ...

The Ask a Librarian service (http://lib.asu.edu/ask-a-librarian/) is available:

In-Person
Each of our libraries has an information desk just inside the entrance.  The staff at these desks will help you with finding material in the libraries, checking out books, identifying appropriate resources for you, and getting you in contact with your subject librarians.   The information desks are open during all building hours.

Phone
Each of the Information Desks in the ASU Library are accessible by phone during all hours that building is open; if you are not sure which library to call, contact the Hayden Library at 480-965-3605.

Email
Click on our email link, fill out the short form with your question and we'll get back to you within a day.    Email is checked several times a day, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and periodically throughout the weekend.

Chat
Chat service is provided Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.  The librarians on the chat service  are able to assist you with finding information but are not able to access your library account; so, for issues with checking out books, holds, recalls, and fines, please use our in-person, phone or email services.

The ASU Library acknowledges the twenty-three Native Nations that have inhabited this land for centuries. Arizona State University's four campuses are located in the Salt River Valley on ancestral territories of Indigenous peoples, including the Akimel O’odham (Pima) and Pee Posh (Maricopa) Indian Communities, whose care and keeping of these lands allows us to be here today. ASU Library acknowledges the sovereignty of these nations and seeks to foster an environment of success and possibility for Native American students and patrons. We are advocates for the incorporation of Indigenous knowledge systems and research methodologies within contemporary library practice. ASU Library welcomes members of the Akimel O’odham and Pee Posh, and all Native nations to the Library.
