Faculty Instructions for LibLessons
LibLessons are a way to assign library tutorials as a part of your courses or assignments. Students will complete the LibLesson by:
- Enrolling in the self-enroll course link
- Completing activities and assessments through Canvas to earn their digital credential
- Submitting their digital credential to their faculty member through an assignment submission.
To the left is a list of our available LibLessons with a step-by-step guide on adding them to your course. Each section has a description of the tutorial, language to copy and paste into your course, how to set up the assignment submission, and what you will receive from students when they complete the LibLesson.
If you cannot find the CredID Tool in Canvas, please send an email to digitalcredentials@asu.edu to request CredID to be added to your class.
We are here to help. Click here to send an email to the support team for further assistance!
To update, find the LibWizard quiz you are using for your class and select the corresponding link in the 'Link to Update' column. Follow the steps to update the directions for students.
Please note that some tutorials have been combined for ease of learning. Listed below are the new tutorials and the previous tutorial they will replace:
- Understanding Research: The Web and the Library will replace Introduction to University Research, Research Guidance, and Web vs Library Research Databases.
- Choosing a topic with Background Research will replace Developing a Research Question, Finding and Using Background Research, and Topic Identification and Selection.
- Using Keywords and Search Connectors will replace Generating and Using Keywords and Using Search Connectors When Searching Databases.
